A gift from the heart!

It's been so long, and I am back from lack of having a functionnal computer...GGGRRR..loll

Today I want to post about a special moment that happened this past saturday. I was asked by a good friend Sue Finch-Mallory if I wanted to contribute to give a surprise gift to another mutual good friend Jo-Ann Pullen. I was so thrilled of the idea and asked if I could do the card. She said run with it, and since I am always last minute and work better under pressure (I impose upon myself...lolll), I did the card friday night and was done at 3am, I had to get up for our event in Kanata at 6am to shower and leave to be there for 7h45...and why do I do this to myself...God only know!

So today's post is about sharing the making of my card for our special friend Jo-Ann. We wanted to surprise with the most people gathered possible and that was at Smackdown with Marlayne Hardy, I love going to these events, and I specially LOVE helping out. It's been a while since I had stamped, life has been a bit out of wack up until x-mas, but I will share that on another post. I wanted to make the card for a few reasons. I am blessed to have and be able to say that these beautiful, fantastic, heart warming talented ladies are my friends. I am so glad to have them in my life, it has basically changed the person I have become, good and bad, not to mention that they do bring out the best in me.

This is the envelop I designed with DSP.
It's retired but so Jo-Ann's style. I have template to make
super size envelops, as the card is and 81/2 x 11
folded in two.

THE CARD! I am so pleased with the outcome.
Couple of techniques in there.

Inside the card I printed out a poem on Velum CS. If you click
on the picture you can read it, on the left side of the velum CS
was plenty of room to sign on both sides for all that
participated in pleasing Jo-Ann. The gift is a photo session
with her husband and parents. She was so pleased and touched.
Was a day to remember

Bye for now! Will try to blog again soon... XXX
